Vice President of Finance

Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced Vice President of Finance (VP Finance) to join our multi-shift, two facility manufacturing operation located in Batavia, IL.

The ideal candidate must be well-versed in all aspects of financial management in a manufacturing environment, ranging from financial and cost accounting to capital investment and banking operations. The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader since the Human Resource Department, Customer Service, and Purchasing report into this position.

The position reports to the COO/GM of the Company and interacts frequently with LV2 Equity Partners (equity sponsors for ownership) This position is an officer of the Company and a member of the leadership team. Direct reports include HR Manager, Purchasing Manager, Customer Service Specialists, Bookkeeper and Administrative Assistant


The VP Finance will oversee all aspects of the Financial and Accounting operations of the Company and be the primary business contact with our outside CPA firm for audits, tax information and other financial/tax issues. LV2 Equity Partners will be the primary engagement contact for the CPA firm and will handle approval of the tax return at the LV2 Aluminum Castings level.

  • Timely and accurate preparation of monthly financial statements.
  • Maintain general ledger accuracy including expense accruals and reserves.
  • Direct and review bookkeeper work including timely review of journal entries and bank reconcilements.
  • Analyze financial trends including:
    • Product/material costs
    • Labor costs
    • Manufacturing costs
    • Financial covenants
  • Manage cash flow, collections and borrowing levels to ensure sufficient cash flow to support the organizations operations.
  • Manage trade receivables, customer trade credit, inventory, and accounts payables.
  • Maintain, develop and report financial and operational metrics for Executive Management including sales, orders, and delivery metrics.
  • Prepare reliable operating reports, earnings forecasts and weekly 13-week cash flow forecasts.
  • Perform analyses, as needed, including ROI, risk analysis and variances from budget/forecast.
  • Oversee the company’s financial system.
  • Ensure compliance with appropriate state and federal law and company policy as they pertain to area of responsibility.
  • Manage HR, Customer Service, and Purchasing Departments. 
  • Monitor all contracts for key performance issues and timing requirements, to include but not limited to, leases, customer programs/agreements, federal and sates filings, etc.
  • Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants.



  • In-depth knowledge of corporate finance law and risk management practices

Education and Experience:

  • Proven experience as Controller, finance officer or relevant role
  • Required; minimum of 10 years in position of Controller or similar positions in a manufacturing environment.
  • BS/BA in Accounting
  • CPA or public accounting experience a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain an upbeat and positive attitude
  • Strong ability to work in a self-directed, fast-paced, and professional environment.

Foundry Technician - Caster

Position Overview:
This position is in the foundry portion of the CAS manufacturing facility, where technicians use specialized machines to create the initial shapes for our products. Technicians will operate and manipulate electric melting furnaces, casting machines, mold components, crucibles, and motion control devices. Attention to detail is very important and the position requires proper use of quality control tools such as micrometers, ohms meters, and machine control panels.

Primary Activities:

  • Follow proper casting & foundry-related processes to produce quality parts
  • Work with molds, low-pressure casting machines, and tilt-pour machines
  • Interface with computer controlled and manually-controlled industrial machines
  • Ensure all components that go into a mold (heaters, tubes, etc.) are prepared and at the proper work station
  • Use an ohms meter to measure and test the resistance of the electric heaters that go into our products
  • Work with our in-house computer program to note part counts and document job completion
  • Have the flexibility to work in other departments if needed
  • Read and follow all relevant process data sheets
  • Ensure that all communication channels are used to share information quickly and accurately
  • Complete inspection of parts after they are cast
  • Be quality conscious and be safety conscious


Desired Competencies:

  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written, along with active listening) with co-workers at all levels of the organization

Machinist I – Production CNC Set-up and Operator

Position Overview:
This position will provide production support by conducting machining operations on a variety of precision-engineered metal components. The machinist will set up and operate a variety of CNC machines, including vertical, horizontal, and multi-axis machines. Accurate reading of schematics and knowing how to interpolate the specifications into machine language is important. Attention to detail and efficient work habits are critical.

Primary Activities:

  • Set up and operate CNC machines, including horizontal and vertical mills and lathes
  • Be familiar with a wide range of production operations
  • Select appropriate feeds & speeds, set-up job according to prints & set-up procedures, and pull/adjust fixtures
  • Read and interpret complex schematics and drawings; make recommendations for correcting prints
  • Read and fill-out machining documents (process data sheets) as needed
  • Determine whether tooling/fixturing is available, and if not suggest substitutes
  • Document completion of jobs using in-house computer program
  • Properly input any changes made to the inventory control system
  • Inspect parts before & after machining, ensuring parts meet highly-accurate technical specifications
  • Works closely with multiple departments
  • Use various communication channels to share information quickly and accurately
  • Have the flexibility to work in other departments if needed

Desired Competencies:

  • High school education and 3-5 years machining experience, which required the setup and operation of CNC machining centers
